Customizing Internet Explorer by adding toolbar, buttons, scripts etc is a common practice. But when you want to add to the look and feel of the toolbar, you should add skins to the toolbar. The skins are beautiful themes  that enhance the visual appeal of the toolbar. Skins need to be downloaded from the websites offering free toolbar skins.

Choosing custom IE toolbar skins is extremely easy. Websites like Cnet.com and FunUtilities.com offer variety of IE toolbar skins. Browse for your favorite design of the IE toolbar skin and select one. It can then be downloaded in a single click. Locate the file in the download folder and click on the .exe file. This executable file needs to be scanned first to avoid any malware in the toolbar skin.

Certain IE toolbar skin files need to be unzipped before starting the installation wizard. Once the file is unzipped simply follow the instructions required to install the program file. After finishing the installation close the wizard plus the IE web browser. To verify whether the installation is done properly you need to close the browser and restart it.

At times you might need to restart your PC as well. Once you restart the web browser click on the tools menu, go to manage Add-Ons to see the newly installed skin. Thus, when you want to freshen up the look and feel of the IE toolbar, applying the skin is an easy, affordable and innovative option. So, just go for it!
